While conducting research for my luminescence project, I made several observations. For one, I noticed that light can take on the color of nearby objects. The spotlights that I came across were too harsh. The nightlight outside my apartment is white, but it appears green because of the trees surrounding it. At night I watched a sunset, and the sky almost looks like a lake and the clouds look like mountains. This effect was my favorite. For my project I want to create a reflection that takes on a shape or shapes.

Dialog Project Peer Critique
The two projects I chose to compare and analyze were by Jamman an Scarlet. Both use architectural elements (as most of the projects do) and they use buildings similar in shape to their individual projects on their parti. Jamman chose a traditional rectangular shape. The exposed skewers on his project resemble exposed beams. The dialog is high and low with the upper space elevated on exposed skewers, it is leaning in over the lower space.
Scarlet also chose a high and low dialog, however the shape of the spaces is curved and inverted with one curved space curving down and inward, and the other is directly on top curved up and outward.

I had to do 5 contour drawings of items around my house. the theme I came up with was buddha figures and candle holders, the two crossed twice (I have two buddha candle holders). My favorite was a drawing I did of Buddha. i liked this one because it appears very abstract kind of like the teachings of Buddha.
